Lambert/rubicon has helped many organisations to develop, implement, gain certification for and maintain management systems. Here are some examples.
Transport For London Transport For London is responsible for virtually all modes of travel in London, UK: buses, the Underground, the Docklands Light Railway, the Croydon Tramlink and London River Services. Lambert/rubicon is currently helping Transport for London's Major Projects division to identify and address the full range of sustainability issues - social, environmental and economic - that it has to manage. It is using the guidelines issued by the SIGMA Project as a starting point.
The work expands upon previous commissions by Lambert/rubicon that saw the development and implementation of an integrated health, safety, environment and quality management system designed to fulfil the requirements of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.
Nortel Networks Lambert/rubicon has worked for Nortel Networks locations throughout the UK for many years. Lambert/rubicon has repeatedly audited Nortel Networks facilities and helped some of them to develop and maintain ISO 14001-based systems. It has provided training, including developing an environmental training package designed for viewing through a web browser.
Latterly, Lambert/rubicon helped two locations to expand their ISO 14001 systems into a streamlined environment, health and safety management system to gain certification to both ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001. Lambert/rubicon has repeatedly streamlined or expanded the Nortel Networks unified management system to reflect dramatic changes within the structure of the business.
Northern Ireland Electricity Lambert/rubicon first helped this company to understand its environmental position through a series of environmental audits, then helped it to develop one ISO 14001-certified environmental management system covering its activities across the whole country: 15 major service centres, 250 main substations, thousands of smaller units and the entire electricity distribution network.
Over 1,000 employees fall within the remit of the system, which was designed with devolved responsibilities, served by a core system run via the company intranet. The resulting system covers a large geographical and organisational area yet is extremely streamlined. Lambert/rubicon periodically maintains the EMS with audits, training and other system upgrades.
Thames Water Lambert/rubicon helped this company to develop and implement an environmental management system based on ISO 14001 at two sites: one water treatment works and one sewage treatment works. Both were awarded the ISO 14001 certificate. Lambert/rubicon also assisted in a supplier environmental impact evaluation exercise.
DuPont Lambert/rubicon audited three facilities - Kevlar® and Lycra® manufacturing operations and a power generation unit - and then helped them individually to develop, implement and achieve certification for an ISO 14001-based environmental management system. Lambert/rubicon also provided training as part of all three commissions.
